FAQ
Q: What is Historical Reenacting?
A: Historical reenacting is the hobby in which the participants attempt to recreate a specific period in history as a method of developing a deeper understanding of the subject. Typically this is done by first researching things like the style of dress, manner of speech and mindset of the average person of the time and then actually attempting to physically put oneself in the shoes of these people by wearing those clothes, affecting those manners of speech and putting oneself in that mindset. In many ways historical reenacting is like playing a part in a play with a general goal of developing a deeper knowledge of the subject matter. More often than not a historical reenactment will center around a military conflict, be it the American Civil War, WWI or, in the case of the 4th AD, WWII.
